Monstera Deliciosa Roots. One of the most rewarding parts of growing Monstera deliciosa is watching the plant evolve from its juvenile leaves to the more mature adult leaves. For an indoor Monstera knowing when to fertilize is pretty simple.
Firmly surround the stake with soil and use plant ties to attach the stem to the stake. Aerial roots develop when the Monstera is ready to start climbing. It has been introduced to many tropical areas and has become a mildly invasive species in Hawaii Seychelles Ascension Island and the Society Islands.
If intended as a houseplant choose a deep pot with many drainage holes.
Getting Monstera Deliciosa seeds to germinate is actually the easy part the hard part is getting the seeds fresh and healthy. Monstera Deliciosa is a very large plant. Deliciosa is an evergreen shrub to 5m or more climbing by aerial roots with heart-shaped pinnatisect and often perforated glossy deep green leaves to 90cm. If its aerial roots get unruly you can trim them but its best to just tuck them back into the pot.
